Following major wins at the 2026 ECMA Awards, the Canadian singer-songwriter releases her latest track via ONErpm ahead of her upcoming EU/UK fall headline tour
Canadian singer-songwriter Goldie Boutilier has officially released her new single, “THE ALLIGATOR”, via ONErpm. The track explores the distinction between the dangers we fear and the deeper damage beneath them, drawing on an upbringing where unpredictability made chaos feel familiar. Centered around the core message “cage the disease, not the alligator”, the song confronts the roots of trauma and finds strength in naming past pain.
Raised on the music of Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton, Goldie’s work is recognized for its cinematic quality, weaving themes of tragic romance, glamor, and melancholia into a sound that balances smooth, late-night atmosphere with dark, haunting, and grunge-influenced tones.
The release marks another milestone in a period of sustained momentum for the artist. Her breakout track “King of Possibilities” served as the theme song for Netflix’s #1 series The Hunting Wives, climbed to #14 on the Shazam viral charts, and led to a performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Along with festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, BottleRock Napa Valley, and All Things Go, Goldie has earned press coverage from outlets including Vogue, Billboard Canada, and Elle.
Recently nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Juno Awards and Best Sync Usage at the A2IM Libera Awards, Goldie swept the 2026 ECMA Awards, taking home Album of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and Rock/Alternative Release of the Year. She will embark on a headline tour across the EU and UK this fall.
“THE ALLIGATOR” is now available on all streaming platforms via ONErpm.
