Strategy, platform insights, and live music shaped an immersive day inside Brazil’s music-tech ecosystem
The recent ONErpm Brasil University of Virginia Darden visit brought together business education, music strategy, and cultural exchange in São Paulo. Students from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business spent the day at ONErpm Brazil’s headquarters, where they explored how music, technology, and audience development intersect in today’s global industry.
The visit was organized by People & Culture and Knowledge teams. It offered students a direct view into the company’s work with artists, platforms, and creative communities across Brazil and beyond.
A Look at 15 Years of Industry Change
The day began with a conversation about the evolution of the music business over the past 15 years. Students learned how the industry moved from physical media to streaming and how that shift changed the way artists build careers. ONErpm Brasil shared how the company supports artists at multiple stages of that journey. The discussion covered discovery, distribution, audience growth, rights protection, and the role of data in long-term strategy.
As part of the ONErpm Brasil University of Virginia Darden visit, students were able to connect business theory with real operational models used in the music industry today.

Platform Perspectives and Market Insights
The program also included contributions from leading voices in digital platforms. Marco Tomazzoni, from YouTube Brazil, and Harley War, from Meta Flying, shared insights on platform strategy, content behavior, and the future of the Latin American market.
Their sessions addressed how digital consumption continues to evolve and how platforms shape artist growth. They also spoke about their own professional journeys, giving students a broader perspective on career development inside the entertainment and technology sectors.
Ady Harley described the exchange simply: “What a wonderful class. I really enjoyed the opportunity of exchanging ideas together.”
From Business Strategy to Music Community
The experience ended at Casa Rockambole, where students encountered another side of the music business. Through the founder’s story and a live jazz jam session, they saw how labels, venues, and audiences can create more than commercial outcomes. Together, they build community.
This closing moment gave the ONErpm Brasil University of Virginia Darden visit a broader meaning. It showed that strategy and culture are not separate forces. In music, they move together.
An Open Door to Future Leaders
For ONErpm Brasil, the visit reflected the company’s ongoing commitment to dialogue, learning, and the future of the industry. It also reinforced the importance of opening space for new perspectives and meaningful exchange.
“It was a true honor to host the University of Virginia Darden School of Business at our São Paulo headquarters,” said Iasmine Amazonas. “At ONErpm, we thrive at the intersection where data-driven strategy meets the raw soul of music. Sharing our 15-year evolution with such a brilliant group of future leaders was incredibly rewarding. Thank you for the insightful dialogue and the vibrant energy you brought to our space. The doors and the future of the industry are always open.”
