It’s Sports! Sports are back with their self-titled album, and boy, is it living up to the name. Twelve tracks make up this eclectic and vibey namesake, with some highlights including the the headnod-inducing lead single “Drama King” and “I Can’t Cry,” which will have you simultaneously in your feels and jamming out.
With global marketing and distribution by ONErpm, This album finds Sports returning to their roots—self-produced, instinct-led, and built on trust. Made in a studio they built themselves, floored with turf from their high school football field so they could “touch grass” every day, the record explores anxiety, devotion, and the growing pains of learning to trust yourself.
Written partly live on Twitch, the songs preserve the immediacy of their earliest demos while embracing bold, modern pop ambition inspired by the emotional scale of U2’s Achtung Baby and Pop, alongside the fearless pop sensibility of artists like A.
